DUMPSTER FIRE (@dumpsterfiretoronto) isn’t just a comedy show—it’s a chaotic playground for misfits, rule-breakers, and dreamers. Think of it as the hilarious coming-of-age tale of two women who are already well of age. Equal parts stand-up, improv, and interactive chaos, Dumpster Fire invites you to vote for your favorite comic and dive into the whimsical, unpredictable “Magic Box of Questions.” No two shows are the same, but all will appeal to fans of Pee-wee’s Playhouse.
Meet Your Hosts:
• Marlena Marie (@lillymarlena): A lovable creative misfit who thrives on the unconventional, Marlena brings dark punchlines and experimental humor to the stage. A veteran of the Laugh Factory on Sunset Boulevard, she’s spent seven years building a career marked by boundary-pushing comedy and stories you’ll never forget. From the Toronto underground music scene to running a pandemic-era backyard comedy club, Marlena’s journey has been anything but ordinary. She’s also a published author (Shitty Fairy Tales, now in TV development), a two-time house-fire survivor, and a self-proclaimed future Colin Farrell kisser.
• Karine Kazan (@karinekazan): Equal parts whip-smart and wildly relatable, Karine is the female Saul Goodman you didn’t know you needed. A lawyer-turned-comedian, she skewers everything from societal norms to immigrant-parent expectations with sharp wit and charm. Karine is a rising star in Toronto’s stand-up scene, consistently delivering performances that demand attention and leave audiences wanting more.
What happens when a self-proclaimed misfit and a lawyer-turned-comedy-powerhouse join forces? Schemes, laughs, and a show you’ll be talking about for weeks.
Come see what Dumpster Fire will ignite next.
