Dusk Dances, Toronto’s beloved outdoor dance festival, is set to return to Withrow Park for its 31st season, running from Sunday, August 3rd to Sunday, August 10th, 2025. Under the direction of Festival Director & Curator Sofi Gudiño, this year’s event promises an immersive and captivating experience as audiences are led through the park to discover unique dance performances.

Festivities begin in the north-east corner of Withrow Park at 7:00 PM each evening with a free audience workshop in dabke dance, led by Zaytouna Academy for Cultural Arts. The dance performances then begin at 7:30 PM, with our charming host, Dominican-Canadian singer Ana Lía, guiding attendees to four select sites.

This year, the festival promises an incredible lineup of diverse pieces by celebrated choreographers Blessyl Buan, Lina Cruz, Kwasi Obeng-Adjei, and Harikishan S. Nair. The program spans the globe, featuring dance styles and themes rooted in Filipino, Ghanaian, Indian, and Quebecois cultures. Audiences can look forward to seeing many of Toronto’s most celebrated dancers, including many returning Dusk Dances favourites.

Dusk Dances continues its tradition of accessibility with a pay-what-you-wish model (suggested contribution: $20 per person). Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets to enjoy the performances comfortably under the stars.
