After the cancellation of a recent Seattle show, singer D4vd has appeared to cancel much of his ongoing tour — with all remaining U.S. tour stops called off, and a number of European shows listing as cancelled on Ticketmaster’s website.

At the same time, an expanded album set to debut today — Withered: Marcescence, with an announced release date of Sept.19, according to Dv4d’s Instagram — has not appeared on streaming services.

The news comes shortly after a decomposed body was found inside an impounded Tesla in Los Angeles, identified as teenager Celeste Rivas, who went missing last year.

Several local news outlets reported the vehicle was registered to D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, 20. His representatives did not respond to a request for comment when asked by The Associated Press. Authorities have not implicated D4vd in Rivas’s death, and police have not confirmed ownership of the vehicle.

Neither D4vd’s agents nor the singer’s label Interscope immediately responded to a request for comment from CBC. But in the wake of the news, his tour appears to have been largely cancelled. A Wednesday show in Seattle was cancelled earlier this week. According to Variety, shows in Los Angeles and an appearance at the city’s Grammy Museum were individually removed from those venue’s websites. The only two remaining U.S. stops — L.A. and San Francisco — are listed as cancelled on Ticketmaster.

Some tickets for the upcoming Europe leg of his tour remained on sale as of Friday afternoon. But many others were listed as cancelled already — including shows in Oslo, Cologne, Amsterdam, Dublin and Glasgow.

Rivas found dead in vehicle

Rivas, 15, was found dead inside the vehicle, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Wednesday. Officials have not determined her cause of death.

The body was discovered Sept. 8 at a tow lot in Hollywood after someone noticed a stench coming from the Tesla, police said, according to news outlets.

In a statement, the medical examiner’s office said the body “was found severely decomposed.”

“She appears to have been deceased inside the vehicle for an extended period of time before being found,” officials said.

Police confirmed to CBC they had searched a house in the 1300 block of L.A.’s Doheny Place in connection to the death. An unnamed representative for D4vd told NBC Los Angeles that the singer has been co-operating with authorities since the body was found.
