Air Canada is giving its long-haul travellers a comfort-focused refresh with the rollout of Air Canada upgraded bedding and redesigned Canadian-made amenity kits across its international network.
The enhancements launching this month will be available in all cabins and are designed to help passengers arrive better rested on long-haul journeys.
The upgrade includes new oversized blankets in Premium Economy and Economy, pillows in Signature Class, enhanced duvets and refreshed amenity kits developed in partnership with Canadian companies Sahajan and Hunter Amenities.
Air Canada upgraded bedding and amenities -what’s in for passengers?
The most noticeable changes will be felt during overnight long-haul flights where comfort plays a crucial role in the travel experience.
The new amenity additions include:
- Canadian-made skincare products from Sahajan in Signature Class amenity kits
- New reusable amenity kits created by Canadian hospitality company Hunter Amenities
- Redesigned pillows featuring AirFlow fill for improved breathability
- Upgraded Signature Class duvets designed for added softness and warmth
- New six-foot polar fleece blankets in Premium Economy and Economy
Canadian brands at the centre of the upgrade
Air Canada partnered with Burlington-based Hunter Amenities to develop and manufacture the new amenity kits. The reusable travel essentials include redesigned socks, eye masks and drawstring bags intended to be useful long after the flight ends.
The airline has also introduced skincare products from Sahajan, which is a Canadian-founded wellness brand. Signature Class passengers will get hydration-focused products including hand cream and lip balm as part of the premium kit.
Part of bigger premium travel push
The rollout reflects growing competition among airlines for improving onboard comfort as international travel continues to rebound.
Airlines are increasingly investing in wellness products, sleep-focused amenities and upgraded soft furnishings to differentiate their premium offerings.
“Every element introduced as part of this launch was thoughtfully chosen to help customers settle in, rest and relax throughout their journey – Jaqueline Harkness, Managing Director, Air Canada, Products and Services.
The rollout of Air Canada’s upgraded bedding represents one of the carrier’s most significant onboard comfort enhancements in recent years.
As airlines compete for long-haul and premium travellers, investments in wellness, sleep quality and passenger comfort are increasingly becoming as crucial as loyalty programs and route networks.
