Major League Soccer says it is investigating reports of “antisemitic and discriminatory language” by CF Montreal fans directed at a player of the opposing team during a game on Saturday at Saputo Stadium.

“We believe that passion for our club must always be expressed with respect for others.”
Le Collectif Impact Montréal, another fan group, told CBC that its organization is known for “its anti-racist positions” and “has always fought against all forms of discrimination.”
The collective says it is hoping to speak with relevant authorities regarding the investigation and maintains that “no antisemitic chants were sung by our group, despite the allegations circulating on social media and in the press.”
