More commission, more gateways

August 18, 2026 Team Contributor

MSC Cruises is sweetening the deal for Canadian travel advisors. The world’s third-largest cruise line is rolling out expanded Fly & Cruise and Flex Air air-inclusive programs. This adds new commission opportunities alongside more destination choice for clients.

Building on its established Fly & Cruise offering from La Romana aboard MSC Opera, the cruise line is now extending the program to Fort-de-France, Martinique, and Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe, both sailing aboard MSC World Europa.

More commission, more gateways

The headline change for advisors is financial: both Fly & Cruise and Flex Air bookings now earn an additional 10% commission on the air portion, stacked on top of standard cruise commission. It’s touted as a new revenue opportunity within a single vacation transaction.

Flights are available from multiple Canadian gateways, with Halifax now added on select itineraries alongside Toronto, Montreal, and Quebec City.

Two air programs to match client choices

Fly & Cruise remains the simpler sell. The package combines flights, cruise accommodations, and round-trip transfers into a single reservation. It also offers same-day flights coordinated to cruise departures and assured arrival even if travel gets disrupted.

o   Flights to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (for sailings from La Romana on board MSC Opera), direct from Toronto (YYZ), Montreal (YUL), and Halifax (YHZ)*.

o   Flights to Fort-de-France, Martinique (for French Antilles sailings on board MSC World Europa), direct from Toronto (YYZ), Montreal (YUL), and Quebec City (YQB).

o   Flights to Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe (for French Antilles sailings on board MSC World Europa), direct from Montreal (YUL).

Advisors can book packages on both MSC Opera from La Romana and MSC World Europa from Martinique and Guadeloupe. Seven-night sailings include dining and entertainment, with add-ons like drink and Wi-Fi packages available, including an Easy Drink Package exclusive to Canadian guests on MSC Opera.

Flex Air, by contrast, is built for clients who want more control. Flights can be added at booking or afterwards, with the option to arrive up to three days early or extend a stay by up to three days post-cruise.

It’s available from most major Canadian gateways, includes the same assured-arrival protection, and offers 24/7 support throughout the journey.

Creating more opportunities

Recently, MSC Cruises has been upgrading its offerings to woo a niche segment. With Southern Caribbean itineraries now reaching Aruba, Barbados, and Martinique, these updates give Canadian advisors more flexibility to package trips that fit different travel styles. They can also leverage a meaningful new revenue line to every air-inclusive booking.
