W Punta Cana introduces a zero-proof package

August 26, 2026 Team Contributor

Wellness tourism is expected to hit US$ 9 trillion by 2028. Travellers are looking beyond traditional vacations and increasingly choosing integrated wellness experiences. It’s no longer about fancy destinations, good food, and amusement; people want to leave feeling actually rested, not just tanned.

Marriott Bonvoy’s All-Inclusive portfolio is responding to that shift. Across the Caribbean and Mexico, several resorts are rolling out wellness-focused experiences this Wellness Month, and honestly, year-round.

The offerings range from alcohol-free getaways to sound healing sessions to spa days built just for kids.

Here’s what’s new across the portfolio.

W Punta Cana introduces a zero-proof package

W Punta Cana is the first all-inclusive resort under the W Hotels brand anywhere in the world. And it’s taking wellness seriously with its new Zero Proof Package.

Guests get unlimited zero-proof cocktails. It also offers a dedicated alcohol-free beverage program. Nothing else changes, though. Full access to dining, entertainment and activities stays the same.

The package requires a minimum three-night stay. It’s a solid pick for travellers who still want an indulgent trip, just without the alcohol.

Almare Isla Mujeres celebrates World Wellness Weekend

From September 18 to 20, Almare, a Luxury Collection Resort, is hosting a full World Wellness Weekend.

The lineup is genuinely varied. There’s a cacao ceremony, yoga sessions, a workout called sculpt + sweat by the sea, and an intentional cooking class. Breathwork paired with an ice-cold plunge. Sound healing too.

All of it happens against the backdrop of Isla Mujeres, one of Mexico’s quieter island escapes. The resort also keeps healthy dining options available at every restaurant, not just during the wellness weekend.

Westin Playa Vallarta

Not every guest wants stillness. Some want movement. The Westin Playa Vallarta built its wellness program around exactly that.

There’s the signature Westin Run route. Guests can also enjoy scenic routes through Marina Vallarta. For those who prefer to slow down, beachfront yoga and guided meditations are available, blended with Puerto Vallarta’s tropical surroundings.

The resort’s Heavenly Spa rounds things out, considered one of the most respected spas in the region.

Marriott Cancun

Sometimes wellness doesn’t need a program at all. At Marriott Cancun, it can just mean slowing down by the water.

The resort’s private Oceanfront Cabanas offer exactly that. Personalised service. Sweeping Caribbean views. Guests can even book an ocean-side massage right from their cabana.

Delta Riviera Nayarit

Set in the mountains of Riviera Nayarit, this resort leans on its natural surroundings to do most of the work.

Guests can move between a Natural Pool, a Lazy River and family-friendly aquatic areas. All of it sits inside the resort’s jungle setting. The signature Aqua Jungle & River experience adds another layer to slow down and reconnect with nature.

Hacienda del Mar Los Cabos

Wellness travel usually skews adult. Hacienda del Mar Los Cabos is changing that with dedicated spa experiences for kids and teens, ages 6 to 17.

The Kids Spa Combo and Teens Spa Combo include massages, facials, body scrubs, manicures and pedicures. It’s a way to introduce younger travellers to self-care early, while giving families something meaningful to share.

Waves Resort and Spa

Barbados’ first all-inclusive wellness boutique resort takes a well-rounded approach. Think yoga, Pilates, guided beach walks and non-motorised watersports.

Guests staying three nights or longer also get a complimentary spa treatment included.

Across all nine brands under All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy, wellness takes centre stage and is built into how these resorts are designed.

Marriott Bonvoy members can earn and redeem points across more than 30 hotel brands worldwide, all while choosing a stay that stays longer and keeps calling them back.
