A Canadian ship is stuck in the Detroit River right between downtown Detroit and downtown Windsor.

According to a marine traffic monitor, the Rt. Hon. Paul J. Martin, a 225-metre vessel destined for Quebec City, is stuck in the river.

In a statement, the U.S. Coast Guard said that personnel were monitoring the “soft grounding” of the ship.

The agency said there were no reports of injuries, pollution or impact on marine transportation.

A couple of tug boats appear beside the boat, but the U.S. Coast Guard says that due to poor visibility at night, “plans to re-float the motor vessel are scheduled to be assessed on Saturday morning.”
