Canadians have collected a handful of nominations for the Actor Awards, SAG-AFTRA’s annual accolades honouring Hollywood’s best film and television/streaming performances of the year.

The nominations were announced Wednesday by star Connor Storrie of Heated Rivalry and Abbott Elementary‘s Janelle James.

Seth Rogen and Catherine O’Hara are both nominated for outstanding performance in a leading role, in their respective categories, for Apple TV’s The Studio, which was created by Vanouver-born Rogen.

Martin Short will be up against Rogen in the leading actor category for his performance in Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building.

Both The Studio and Only Murders in the Building are also nominated for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series.

The Actors, which were previously called the SAG Awards, are a pre-cursor to the Academy Awards.

The films Frankenstein, Hamnet, Marty Supreme, One Battle After Another and Sinners are all up for outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture.

The awards ceremony will be streamed live on Netflix, from Los Angeles, on March 1.

More to come.
