Another blizzard on the way for Saskatoon

Blizzard conditions in Saskatoon will begin tapering off later tonight and the storm system should leave the province in the southeast by tomorrow morning, with tomorrow looking like a nicer day, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC).

But there’s another blizzard on the way Friday, said Danielle Desjardins, a warning preparedness meteorologist with ECCC.

“Thankfully this next system on Friday does not look to be as potent, especially for the Saskatoon area,” Desjardins said in an interview this afternoon.

“Nonetheless, we’re going to see some gusty winds and snow giving reduced visibility again on Friday.”

Desjardins said Friday’s storm could be worse in the southeast due to heavier snowfall and stronger winds.
