Health Canada issued a recall notice on Friday for BChic and Chicure model baby nest beds over various safety risks.

The department said the “eleven” brand baby co-sleeping bed and luggage middle beds don’t meet regulations and have the potential for “fall, strangulation and entrapment hazards,” but it notes there have no been no reported incidents or injuries in Canada so far.

“Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and safely dispose of the items in such a way that they cannot be used again,” Health Canada said.

“Health Canada reminds parents and caregivers that the safest place for a baby to sleep is on their back on a firm, flat surface intended for sleep.”
