The new service expansion is expected to make travelling easier for Canadians. With its new WestJet interline booking capability, travellers can now plan multi-airline journeys directly through WestJet’s website, app, or contact centre.
This change removes a long-standing friction point. Until now, booking across multiple airlines often meant juggling separate reservations. That’s no longer the case.
More on WestJet interline booking facility
The upgrade allows passengers to book a single itinerary that includes both WestJet flights and partner airline segments. Everything sits under one reservation, with coordinated connections and simplified management.
You can now:
- Book partner flights directly on WestJet platforms
- Manage changes or cancellations in one place.
- Receive all boarding passes and baggage tags at check-in.
Even better, travellers will earn WestJet Rewards across the entire journey, including flights operated by partner airlines. Points can also be redeemed for these bookings, adding real value for frequent flyers.
Copa Airlines leads the first expansion
The rollout begins with Copa Airlines, opening up access to Central and South America.
Through this partnership, Canadians can now reach 37 destinations across 18 countries, including Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Guatemala. Routes connect via WestJet’s network in Mexico and Panama City, creating smoother access to previously harder-to-book regions.
A seamless travel experience
With the new expansion, WestJet guests will eventually be able to access hundreds of new destinations across six continents with nearly 50 interline partners. Bookings have started from 8th April.
You get more destinations, simpler bookings, and better reward integration without leaving a single platform. Whether it’s Lima or Beijing, long-haul travel just became easier to plan.

More airline partnerships in the offing
This is just the start. WestJet plans to expand its interline booking network to more than 10 additional partners by the end of 2026.
Future collaborations are expected to include major global carriers such as Korean Air, Japan Airlines, Kenya Airways, and Saudia. Together, these partnerships will unlock over 100 new destinations across six continents.
