Silent Legacy is an ode to the vitality of dance. Two dancers of different generations collide on stage in a striking performance of contemporary dance and Krump, an art form that emerged off the streets of South Central Los Angeles.

Maud Le Pladec, the esteemed head of dance and choreographer of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies (who also choreographed Lady Gaga’s headlining show) envisioned a duet between Krump prodigy Adeline Kerry Cruz and a contemporary dancer, in this iteration Siaska Chareyre.

The first performance in Canada after a highly successful tour abroad, this daring work encourages audiences to unpack the complicated sociology of gender and dance culture.

KUUMBA30 is presented by TD Bank Group through the Bank’s Corporate Citizenship platform, the TD Ready Commitment.

Tickets: $39–$79
