A brand-new summer-focused experience

Revelstoke Mountain Resort has opened the Revelstoke Skywalk, a new mountain attraction offering visitors an elevated, panoramic perspective of British Columbia’s alpine landscapes.

The experience centres on a 75.5-meter suspension bridge that connects two rocky outcrops approximately 1250 meters above the Columbia Valley, providing a sweeping view of the Monashee Mountains, Mount Begbie, the City of Revelstoke, and the Columbia River.

A brand-new summer-focused experience

The Revelstoke Skywalk is part of the resort’s broader expansion into year-round tourism, with a focus on attracting more visitors during the summer season.

According to the resort leadership, the goal is to create experiences that go beyond winter sports and encourage travellers to explore the mountains in new ways.

Visitors begin the journey at the Revelation Gondola summit, then follow a scenic cliffside trail through a temperate forest before reaching the bridge.

This route continues to a cantilevered viewing platform that extends from the mountainside and offers an unobstructed view of the valley below.

Features of Revelstoke Skywalk

This attraction combines accessibility with a high-altitude experience:

  • Viewing platform built into the mountainside
  • Cliffside walking trail through forest terrain
  • Elevation of nearly 1250 meters above the Columbia Valley
  • Suspension bridge spanning 75.5 meters

Part of a larger tourism push

The Revelstoke Skywalk is included in the resort’s Explore Pass and Adventure Pass, offering access to summer activities such as sightseeing, hiking, aerial adventure, and mountain biking.

This attraction reflects the growing trend among mountain resorts to diversify offerings and draw visitors beyond the usual ski seasons. By adding view-based, immersive attractions and destinations, like Revelstoke, they are repositioning themselves as all-season travel hubs.

With the official opening, Revelstoke Skywalk is all set to become a crucial draw for summer tourism in British Columbia, providing visitors with a high-altitude experience which combines dramatic natural scenery and accessibility.

As mountain destinations increasingly invest in year-round experiences and attractions like this Skywalk, the trend highlights a shift towards visually immersive, experience-driven outdoor activities.
