Toronto Pearson marked Airport Workers Day by recognising and appreciating the critical roles of its 52000+ employees who keep the busiest Airport in Canada safe and connected.
The annual observance was coordinated by the Canadian Airports Council and celebrated the workforce behind airport operations across the country, who ensure the seamless movement of cargo and travel.

At Toronto Pearson Airport, the Airport Workers Day celebration brought together industry leaders, airport workers, and government officials to honour the diverse roles that support the airport’s ecosystem.

Together, they boost Canada’s employment and transportation sectors, indirectly uplifting the national economy.
Leadership support at the Airport Workers Day
Deborah Flint, CEO and President of Toronto Pearson Airport, emphasised the importance of the workforce behind its daily operations, noting that the expertise and dedication of the professionals connect Canada to global destinations and shape the Airport’s future growth.
The event also witnessed the announcement of a $2 million provincial investment through the Skills Development Fund, which aims to provide employment opportunities and training for the 420 residents in the airport community.
