On Nov. 3, 2026, CBC News reported that a former Alberta hockey executive facing child luring charges was also wanted on warrants for domestic violence.

That reporting was incorrect.

CBC News received information from the courts that was inaccurate after the Alberta Court of Justice merged the files of two different men so they appeared in court records as one.

Tyler Robb King, 39, was arrested Friday and charged with luring, sexual exploitation and making child sexual abuse material. The offences are alleged to have taken place between 2021 and 2024 when King worked for the Okotoks Oilers of the British Columbia Hockey League as assistant general manager of operations.

According to the Crown’s office, King does not have any history with the courts in Alberta aside from the current charges.
