Direct Airport Transfer with Fewer Delays

Getting to Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL) from downtown Montréal is now easier with Air Canada City Shuttle. Starting at CAD 9 one way plus taxes, the new service launch provides travellers with a convenient airport transfer alternative.

The service is part of Air Canada‘s multi-modal partnership with Landline, a transportation company that connects regional communities and city centres with major aviation hubs through integrated ground-transport solutions.

Direct Airport Transfer with Fewer Delays

The new route connects the Palais des congrès de Montréal and YUL through daily departures. Using high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes and a private airport entrance, the shuttle helps travellers avoid traffic and enjoy smoother journeys.

Ranbir Singh, Director, Regional Airlines and Markets at Air Canada, said, “The Air Canada City Shuttle gives our customers a faster, more predictable way to travel between downtown Montréal and the airport.”

“Our customers can now bypass traffic and avoid waiting in taxi lines. By combining frequent downtown service and faster, more direct access to YUL, we are making it easier for them to connect to Air Canada’s global network.”

Air Canada Montreal Airport Shuttle Highlights

  • 37 daily departures between downtown Montréal and YUL
  • Starting fare of $ 9 one-way, plus applicable taxes (under $10)
  • Children under 15 travel free with an accompanying adult
  • Dedicated traffic lanes help minimize travel-time uncertainties
  • Direct access to the airport terminal area
  • Premium motorcoaches equipped with onboard amenities

Inside the New Air Canada City Shuttle

Passengers will travel aboard Quebec-built Prevost motorcoaches featuring 48 reclining leather seats with additional legroom. The coaches feature power outlets and onboard restrooms, offering a comfortable option for airport transfers.

Air Canada City Shuttle service is operated by Quebec-based transportation provider Autobus Galland. The accessibility assistance is available for travellers using wheelchairs or other mobility aids.

Airport Pickup and Booking Details

Passengers arriving at YUL can collect their baggage and board the shuttle from Door 7 on the departures level. Customers have the option to pre-book their journey or board directly at the airport, subject to seat availability.

Operating from the Palais des congrès de Montréal, the shuttle runs every 15 minutes during the morning rush and every 30 minutes thereafter until 9:00 p.m., with direct access to airport check-in and security facilities.

From YUL, departures operate every 15 minutes between 5:15 a.m. and 6:45 a.m., before shifting to a 30-minute frequency throughout the day. The final shuttle leaves the airport at 10:00 p.m.

Time-Saving Journey for Travellers

One of the key advantages of this City Shuttle service is its ability to bypass some of the traffic challenges typically associated with travelling to Montréal–Trudeau Airport. With access to dedicated lanes and a private airport entrance, the shuttle is designed to provide a faster, more reliable journey, saving travellers up to 25 minutes at peak times.

To support flight connections throughout the day, the shuttle will operate on a high-frequency schedule. Services run every 15 minutes during busy morning periods, with 30-minute intervals throughout the rest of the day.

Strengthening Montréal’s Airport Connectivity

The new shuttle arrives as demand for efficient airport transportation continues to grow. Beyond improving convenience for air passengers, the service is also expected to help reduce vehicle congestion around the airport while strengthening links between downtown Montréal’s hotels, convention facilities and one of Canada’s busiest international gateways.

The service arrives shortly after the launch of Route 815, a shuttle connecting YUL with Montréal’s REM network. Both initiatives aim to offer travellers more convenient alternatives as the city works to strengthen airport connectivity.
