Mike Myers danced like nobody was watching in a Toronto subway station. And apparently, nobody was.

The Canadian comedy icon posted an Instagram video Thursday of himself prancing, leaping and twirling through Toronto’s Bloor-Yonge station. Commuters appeared oblivious.

Accompanied by a keyboardist-busker tickling the ivories nearby, the Scarborough-born star — known for creating iconic characters on Saturday Night Live and starring in hit films Austin Powers, Wayne’s World and Shrek — gave it his all. His dance uniform of choice was simple: a black George Harrison tee and army cargo pants.

And commuters walked right on by, barely batting an eyelash.

In the comments section of the video, the disbelief was apparent, with fans affronted that so many would dare pass one of the country’s greatest comedic exports without so much as a polite Canadian nod.

“Nobody is freaking out enough over this that’s literally Cat in the Hat guys,” one user wrote, referencing Myers’s role in the 2003 film.

Another questioned, “How are people just walking past and not realizing who that is 😂”.

Another user remarked, “Lmao everyone walking by thinking who is this weird old guy not realizing the comedic genius unfolding in front of them.”

Some even commented on the missed opportunities commuters had to join Myers in his jig, with one user writing: “if I see Mike Myers dancing in the subway, I am joining him.”

Others flooded the comments with GIFs and film references and praise for the comedian-actor-filmmaker-musician-singer– and apparently now, dancer.

“Whatever this is, I approve,” said one user.

Another joked, “Seeing Mike Myers dancing would probably be the least crazy thing I’d see on the TTC that day.”

The video was captioned “Kinda chic to dance in the subway” — part of a viral trend that’s taken over social media recently where people use a tongue-in-cheek text format to rebrand mundane, ordinary life choices as effortlessly cool.

Safe to say, however, there’s nothing ordinary about stumbling upon Myers pirouetting in a Toronto subway station.
