The arrival of spring in the Land of Living Skies signals the start of a cherished tradition. Saskatchewan provincial park bookings for 2026 are now live, and the competition for prime lakeside real estate is already heating up.
Whether you seek the deep woods of the north or the rolling hills of the south, now is the time to secure your summer sanctuary.
Secure your spot
Sask Parks uses a staggered launch to ensure the reservation system handles the surge of eager campers. All windows open at 7:00 a.m. CST sharp. If you missed the seasonal launch on April 13, focus on the nightly reservation dates:
- April 15 (Today): Blackstrap, Buffalo Pound, and Moose Mountain lead the pack.
- April 16: Cypress Hills, Greenwater Lake, and The Battlefords open for business.
- April 17: Final call for Douglas, Echo Valley, and Pike Lake.
What to expect this season
Affordability remains a priority for the province. Nightly rates for electric sites hold steady at $35, while full-service spots remain $49. While most fees are frozen, comfort seekers will notice a slight bump in the price of Camp-Easy yurts, now priced at $99 per night to support ongoing park infrastructure.
The 2026 season also brings fresh energy to the trails. Candle Lake celebrates its 40th birthday with a massive bash, and family favourites like Summer Cinema return to the big screen under the stars.
Keep in mind that recovery efforts continue at Gem Lakes and Wadin Bay following the 2025 wildfires; these specific campgrounds remain closed this year to allow the landscape to heal.
Expert booking tips
Log in to your account at parks.saskatchewan.ca before the 7:00 a.m. rush. Use the Availability Notifications feature if your first choice is taken; the system alerts you the moment a cancellation occurs.
