The Traitors is back with a new lineup of stars ready for their murder mystery moment.
The cast of the award-winning reality competition series’ fifth season was announced Friday, bringing together a new slate of celebs and reality TV stars into the castle with the same frame of mind: trust no one.
This season features singer Cody Simpson, Mormon Wife Whitney Leavitt, Real Housewife Gizelle Bryant and actor and singer Kristin Chenoweth — there’s even a Canadian in the mix.
Here’s how it works: host Alan Cummings will assign a small subset of players as traitors, everyone else is deemed a faithful. Each week, the traitors meet in secret to murder one faithful. And every episode, the group sits down to debate, accuse and call people out — in hopes of voting out someone a traitor.
The show, which was recently picked up for three more seasons, went seven for seven at the 76th Emmy Awards, taking home trophies like outstanding reality competition program and outstanding host for a reality or reality competition program for Alan Cummings.
