Three Distinct Resort Experiences

July 8, 2026 Team Contributor

Lopesan Hotel Group has strengthened its Caribbean footprint with three new Punta Cana resorts. The launch adds more than 1,000 rooms across the fast-growing destination.

More than $350 million has been invested in the development, making it the company’s largest regional expansion to date. For travellers, it unlocks three distinct all-inclusive experiences while further elevating Punta Cana’s appeal as a premier Caribbean getaway.

Three Distinct Resort Experiences

The expansion introduces Lopesan Caoba Lagoon, Lopesan Serenity Bay, and Lopesan Splash Cove. Each property targets different traveller preferences within one integrated resort ecosystem.

Designed alongside HKS Architects and ROAM, the destination embraces water-inspired architecture throughout. Natural elements help create a stronger connection with the Dominican landscape.

Key Highlights of the New Lopesan Punta Cana resorts

Lopesan Caoba Lagoon

  • 554 rooms and a 127-meter lagoon-style pool
  • Features a cenote-inspired design and a convention center for 2,000 attendees

Lopesan Serenity Bay

  • Adults-only retreat with 239 rooms and wellness-focused amenities
  • Offers a quieter atmosphere while maintaining resort-wide access

Lopesan Splash Cove

  • Family-oriented property featuring 242 rooms and water attractions
  • Includes a wave pool and entertainment for multigenerational vacations

The Boulevard Brings the Resort to Life

At the center sits The Boulevard, an open-air lifestyle district. The space combines dining, shopping, nightlife, casino gaming, and live entertainment. An 820-seat theater further enhances the destination’s appeal. Guests can explore multiple experiences without leaving the resort campus.

First Guests Mark the Opening Celebration

The official debut was accompanied by a personalized welcome program for inaugural visitors. Early guests received special amenities and exclusive recognition as part of the launch festivities.

Arrival experiences included dedicated airport greetings, private transfers, and customized welcome messaging. Guests were also welcomed through ceremonial activities, enhanced dining touches, and commemorative resort experiences.

Opening experience highlights

  • Enhanced amenities for inaugural guests
  • Complimentary 3-night return stay certificates for eligible US-based travellers
  • Personalized airport arrivals with dedicated welcome signage and transportation
  • Leadership-led ceremonial welcomes and ribbon-cutting celebrations

Caribbean Growth Sparks Canadian Interest

Punta Cana continues to rank among the most sought-after sun destinations for Canadian travellers. With new adults-only, family-friendly, and convention-focused options, the Lopesan expansion broadens choices for couples, families, and groups planning Caribbean escapes.

Canadian interest in Caribbean vacations continues to gain momentum across the travel sector. With programs like Sunwing’s Canada’s Next Top Creators Season 2 spotlighting sun destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean, Punta Cana’s newest resort additions strengthen its position as a leading getaway while boosting local employment and future tourism development.
